KARACHI: Excise and Taxation Department, Sindh has sealed properties of seventy people who are involved in property tax evasion. The department has also successfully collected Rs 0.668 million property tax from twelve defaulters.
Talking to Customs Today, Incharge of Property Tax Survey, Munir Khan Niazi said that they have started an operation against tax defaulters and sealed seventy properties. He said tax notices were sent to tax defaulters but they were avoiding to pay taxes willfully. After their failure the department has decided to seal the properties of these persons.
