KARACHI: The Sindh Excise and Taxation Department has collected a revenue of Rs 5.53 million during the first 15 days of April.
Sources said that the excise collected this amount under the head of motor vehicle tax, excise duty, property tax and professional tax. Sources said that excise teams are making all possible efforts to generate more revenue because current fiscal year is going to end.
Sources said that Secretary Excise Ahmed Bux Narejo has already issued final tax notices to 300 professional tax defaulters. In the notices, the defaulters are advised to clear their outstanding dues until April 28 failing which stern action would be taken against them.
