KARACHI: Excise and Taxation Department of Sindh started motor vehicle tax recovery campaign from yesterday.
Sources told Customs Today that during the first day of this campaign excise teams issued challan notices to 8 buses, 12 cars, 8 taxis, and 10 auto rickshaws. Sources said that provincial excise minister Gyan Chand Esrani recently presided over a meeting in which decision was taken to start motor vehicle tax recovery campaign.
This scheme will continue for three days during which people will be apprised about importance of tax payment. Banners will be displayed on important locations of the city in which citizens will be asked to follow traffic rules and pay vehicle tax according to law.
