Sindh, Punjab to jointly attract investments in agri and livestock sectors

Karachi – The Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) and the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) will jointly attract investments especially in agriculture and livestock sectors.

At SBI head office, a meeting was held between Chairman Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Dr Asif A. Brohi and Lubna Pathan, Director General Projects Policy & Research, PBIT in this regard.

Proposal for the mutual activities related to marketing and promotion of investment in various sectors was floated by PBIT, which was highly appreciated by Chairman SBI Dr Asif A Brohi, Officials in SBI said. They added that chairman SBI had supported the proposal and stressed the need of joint efforts especially in Agriculture and Livestock sectors for value-addition and value chain to attract local and foreign investors.

During the meeting, Ms Lubna apprised that besides different sectors of investment, PBIT was focusing on the development and investment in the Agriculture and Livestock.
