SINGAPORE: A total of 86 suspected drug offenders have been arrested over four days, the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) said here the other day.
During the island-wide operation, CNB seized drugs including 157g of heroin, 160g of Ice, 27g of ketamine, 82 Ecstasy tablets, 293 Erimin-5 tablets and a small amount of cannabis.
On the third day of the operation, CNB officers raided a unit near Geylang Bahru and arrested a 25-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug abuse. Officers found drugs including small amounts of Ice, ketamine and cannabis, as well as an improvised drug-smoking apparatus.
CNB also arrested a 39-year-old Singaporean for suspected drug trafficking, following investigations on the 25-year-old. The older man was found to have about 25g of Ice and 50 Ecstasy tablets with him. Officers also found 278 Erimin-5 tablets, 25 Ecstasy tablets, 25g of ketamine, 32g of Ice and a small amount of heroin in his vehicle. Various drug paraphernalia, including a digital weighing scale, were also found.
Officers then raided the 39-year-old’s hideout in Pasir Ris and seized small amounts of various drugs, including Ice, ketamine, heroin and Ecstasy.
Investigations on all suspects are ongoing, said CNB.
