SINGAPORE: Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 9.71 points, or 0.30 percent, to close at 3,192.79.
A total of 1.48 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 14 billion Singapore dollars (827.4 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 350 to 138, while 451 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 47.02 points, or 1.45 percent, to close at 3, 202.50 on July 31.
