SINGAPORE: SINGAPORE’S stock market opened lower on Thursday with the Straits Times Index (STI) down 20.42 points or 0.59 per cent to 3,439.37 at 9.03am, weighed down by Wall Street’s overnight losses for a second straight session.

Disappointing US jobs data aside, traders’ mood was not helped by comments from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen who described equity valuations as “generally quite high”.
