SINGAPORE: Singapore shares opened marginally lower on Wednesday as the Straits Times Index (STI) dipped 0.48 point, or 0.02 per cent, to 2,923.01.
As at 9.01am, 42.9 million shares worth S$44.9 million changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 64 to 37.
Meanwhile, Tokyo shares opened 0.34 per cent lower on a slightly stronger yen, despite a positive lead from Wall Street. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan nudged up 0.2 per cent.
