Singapore’s CNB seizes drugs worth S$89,000

SINGAPORE: Cannabis, “Ice” and Ermin-5 tablets estimated to be worth more than S$89,000 have been seized by Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers.

In a release on Wednesday (Jan 6), CNB said that two men have been arrested.

On Jan 4, a 41-year-old Singaporean man was arrested for suspected drug consumption and possession. Four Erimin-5 tablets were recovered from him. On Jan 5, CNB recovered 997g of cannabis at his residence at Kim Tian Road.

That evening, police raided the Segar Road residence of the 41-year-old man’s associate. Officers recovered 1,015g of cannabis, 125g of “Ice”, 16 Erimin-5 tablets and various improvised drug-smoking apparatus at the home of the 42-year-old associate.

In total, CNB seized 2,012g of cannabis, 125 g of “Ice” and 16 Erimin-5 tablets.

The CNB said investigations into the drug activities of those arrested are ongoing. Those convicted of trafficking in more than 500g of cannabis may face the death penalty.
