Singapore’s HDB resale prices fall 1% in Q1

SINGAPORE: Prices of resale HDB flats fell by 1.0 per cent in the first quarter of 2015, as transactions decreased by 10.8 per cent, according to the latest figures released by the Housing Development Board.

However, the number of applications approved for subletting of a HDB flat has increased by 0.2 per cent in the same period.

A total of 48,338 flats were being sublet by the end of March 2015, an increase of 0.5 per cent compared to the last quarter.

Meanwhile, about 4,040 new flats will be offered in the Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise in May, for units located at Clementi, Punggol, Sembawang and Tampines.

There will also be a concurrent Sale of Balance Flats exercise, with 5,000 flats being offered.
