LONDON: The app offers features that show the user’s contacts, recent conversations and upcoming meetings all on their dashboard unlike the normal Skype app which just shows the users recent conversations by default.

The users can search for contacts from the dashboard by first name, last name, alias or phone numbers, and on iOS their phone contacts are automatically included in search as well.

The users can click through to read more information about upcoming meetings or select ‘Quick Join’ to enter an ongoing session immediately.

In addition, the calling feature comes with larger buttons for muting, adding participants and managing the users calls. Also, switching between video and text is easier since the users can now have the option to see both on screen simultaneously.

Skype is allowing IT admins to sign up for the preview and they can nominate eight iOS and Android users, up to four of each, to try out the preview. Also, the users will have to apply by August 14 to be part of the first batch of the users.

For others, Skype for Business app will come on iOS and Android later this year.
