AMMAN: Slovenian President Borut Pahor on Sunday visited the King Hussein Business Park and had a first-hand look at several projects by young entrepreneurs and business innovators, whose ideas were translated into ICT start-ups. During the visit, Pahor met with business founders who briefed him on the ideas their companies are based on, in addition to the contributions of the ICT sector to the Jordanian economy, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Moayad Samman, the chairman of the board of the park, presented a briefing on the facility to Pahor, highlighting the comprehensive business services that it offers, providing a safe work environment for many local and international entrepreneur companies. Samman noted that the park comprises multi-purpose facilities that are equipped with modern ICT infrastructure, and enjoys high standards of security as well as providing tax exemptions and investment incentives.
The occupancy rate at the park has reached 100 per cent, with the venue housing more than 150 companies, half of which are international firms and the other 75 being start-ups, Samman said, noting that there are some 3,000 employees working in the business park. Pahor met with representatives of companies in the park and listened to briefings on their projects that cover several ICT fields.
