SMEDA holds two-day workshop for textile cluster

PESHAWAR: The Regional Office, Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development Authority (SMEDA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arranged a two-day training workshop for textile cluster of Swat.

The workshop conducted three different training programmes following the SMEDA project, Women Business Development Centre (WBDC) Swat.

The objective of the workshop was the capacity building and improvement in the technical skills of the textile related SMEs of the area. During the workshop, Textile Engineer SMEDA, Mohammad Israr Wazir and Engineer Zia-ur-Rehman of Nishat Group of Industries gave lecturers on different aspects of the waiving processes.

The participants of the training appreciated the efforts of SMEDA for organizing the training which is very useful for the development of textile cluster of the area and stressed need for holding more such workshops.

The participants of the workshop said that through event they came to know regarding the market demands and trends and how to improve the quality of their products.

They said that the workshop has informed them about deficiencies in their products and how to avoid them, which is very beneficial for them.
