LAHORE: Customs Intelligence and Investigations had recovered smuggled goods including vehicles worth Rs 285.8 million from July 2015 to Feb 15, 2016.
Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigations, Multan Nisar Ahmad said that the smuggled goods including 59 vehicles valuing over Rs 80 million were recovered during seven months period.
He said that 102 cases were registered against the smugglers involved in different activities.
He said that the department had also taken action against those who violated import policy and evade duty import payment through concealing facts from customs officials.
He said that the cases were detected during checking. He said that action was being taken against the elements violating the laws.
