Smuggled Mazda truck impounded during action‏

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range has impounded a smuggled mini Mazda truck during a operation.

According to details, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range has captured mini Mazda truck during the patrolling near Chowk Kumharawala located in the Multan city. The smuggled Mazda vehicle was examined on the suspicion of smuggling for verification.

Owner of the truck Fakhar-ul Zaman, a resident of Kabirwala, provided documents of the Mazda truck for verification but the documents proved illegal. The smuggled Mini Mazda was going to Faisalabad from Multan bypass.

The mini Mazda truck had cabin Mazda Titan T-3500 type along with other accessories and were non duty paid in the description and quantity of the seized vehicle.

The seized Mini Mazda Titan truck was  bearing the registration number of MNS-12-1595 according to the provided documents of the seized vehicle .The model of the Mini Mazda Truck was 1970 as per photocopy of the registration book provided to the team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office.

Additional Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range Office Nisar Ahmad along with his staff members captured the smuggled vehicle during action.

The value of the truck was around Rs 1.5 million and its customs duty was almost Rs 300,000. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan have impounded the Mazda truck under Section 157 (2) of the Customs Act, 1969.
