KARACHI: The Customs officials Monday foiled another bid of smuggling more than two-kilogram gold and foreign currency worth millions of rupees at Jinnah International Airport.
According to the source, the officials searched some passengers and arrested three suspects after recovering 2.35-kilogram gold worth Rs 1.6 million and foreign currency worth Rs 3.142 million.
The recovered gold and money has been seized under the Customs Act, 1969 and an FIR was lodged against the alleged smugglers for further investigation.
