Social media best way to promote business

SIALKOT: The speakers, trainers and the stakeholders, stressed the need for promoting social media marketing and termed it an effective way to promote business in the global market.

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), organized a day-long training program for the Sialkot based SMEs on “Social Media Marketing, tools, strategies and benefits” at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here.

Addressing the participants, the senior trainers Shafqat Jillani, Muhammad Faizan Akbar and Fouzan Muhammad said that Social Media is one of the most efficient means of marketing products and services in today’s highly interactive and competitive markets.

They said that it is increasingly becoming an essential component of a firm’s marketing and customer base development platform. There is a growing importance of social media marketing among Small & Medium-Sized Businesses because of its cost-effectiveness, ability to reach targeted audiences quickly and broaden customer market and generate more sales / leads at domestic and global level, they added.

They also highlighted the learning objects including what social media is and how businesses are using it, introduction of different mediums of social media marketing, helping SMEs understand the use and impact of each tool based on its reach and target audience and message for foreign buyers and enabling participants to create successful social media marketing campaigns / plans for their businesses.
