WASHINGTON: Consumer IC design house Sonix Technology is expected to see its second-quarter revenues increase 50-60% sequentially, a report by Taiwan’s Central News Agency (CNA) quoted market watchers as saying.

Strong shipments of microcontrollers (MCU) and other consumer IC products boosted Sonix’ revenues in April and May. Revenues for the second quarter are set to grow from the NT$619 million (US$19.3 million) reported for the first quarter, according to the report. Sonix saw its May revenues climb to NT$320 million, a 12-month high. The company’s cumulative 2016 revenues through May totaled NT$3.32 billion, down 1.8% on year. In other news, Sonix plans to distribute a cash dividend of NT$2.20 for 2015 when the company posted NT$2.32 in EPS.
