TOKYO: Sony Corp’s PlayStation Store is now five weeks into its Spring Fever sale. Previous weeks have featured deals from major hit franchises, including the Batman: Arkham series, Devil May Cry, and God of War. This week, the marquee franchise featured is Dragon Age.

Dragon Age: Inquisition was the latest from the franchise to release on the PS4. Those who have yet to play this classic title should get their hands on it now. It is on sale for $41.99 and PlayStation Plus members save an extra 10%. This award-winning title is one of the best action RPG titles available on the PS4.

Other highlights of the sale include Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2. The deals are only valid until next week, so it is best to get your hands on them before the store updates. One of the perks of digital content is that it never goes out of stock. The PS4 rest mode download feature allows games to be downloaded and installed while the console is in standby. It would be advisable to download any to these titles overnight so they are ready to play once you wake the console up.

The Dragon Age series started back in November 2009 when it released on Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox 360 and Sony’s PS3. The dark fantasy RPG was a hit among gamers and critics and would spawn an expansion a year later called Dragon Age: Origins- Awakening. March 2011 saw the release of Dragon Age: Origins II. The sequel features Hawke from Dragon Age: Origins.

Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age: Origins II, and Dragon Age: Inquisition are all developed by Bioware and published by Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA). The series has spawned the web series Dragon Age: Redemption and Japanese anime Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker.

With such highly successful titles at such astonishing prices, it is a no brainer to fill up your PlayStation wallet and buy them. The PlayStation Store has been frequently featuring brilliant sales for digital downloaders. The best thing is no lines and no taxes; you just pay the price of the game and hit download.

Spring Fever Week 5 featured Batman: Arkham titles on sale, two of which have been previously released as free games on PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection for subscribers. Next week, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto is scheduled for a week-long sale. So if you want to wait for that, then it is best to save your funds for GTA games. It is expected that the PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto V will be marked down.

After the end of this week’s sales, two more weeks remain in the Spring Fever sale and from what we have seen of the deals so far, we have to admit one thing: Sony loves its customers.
