SEOUL: Sony Mobile Communications has selected Dick Smith and its up market MOVE stores to handle its new Xperia handsets including E4g and C4, as well as its current flagship Z3 and Z3 compact.
The Eg4 is Sony quality but obviously has lower specifications to meet the A$149 price. It has a 4.7”, 960×540 display; 1.5GHz MediaTek quad core; 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and microSD support; 5MP camera; and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The 2300 mAh battery will last a few days of typical use. It is aimed at a cost sensitive audience.
The C4 is termed a PRO selfie as it has a 5.5” HD screen and is billed as ‘the world’s best selfie smartphone.” The front camera is 5MP wide angle with a fill flash. The rear is 13MP with autofocus and HDR. It has Android 5.0; a 1.7GHz eight core processor; 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and microSD support. At A$499 it has most of the features expected in a mid-range device.
