Sost dry port collects Rs4.19b during July to 14th November

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Gilgit Baltistan’s (GB) Sost Dry port cleared 839 containers during July to 14th November financial year 2016-17 in the head of import collected Rs4.19 billion.

GB Customs told Customs today that during first 4 and half month of financial year 2016-17 the dry port cleared not as much of containers but import figure has increased by 45% due to quantity of products. While in previous year 2015-16 during same period GB cleared 920 containers head of import value of Rs1.724 billion.

Sources said that up to 14th November of current financial year GB cleared 149 containers head of import value amounting Rs551.702 million as for as during same period financial year 2016-17 the GB cleared 302 containers head of import value Rs1.209 million.

Sources added that during month of October FY16-17 GB cleared 210 containers head of import value Rs1.097 billion as for as during same period in previous financial year GB cleared 197 containers head of import value amounting R505.753 million.
