MEXICO: The South Carolina Aquarium released six sea turtles that were rehabilitated at the aquarium’s Sea Turtle Hospital.
Five Kemp’s ridley turtles and one green sea turtle were returned to the Atlantic on the Isle of Palms on Thursday. It’s the first public release of turtles this season from the aquarium.

In March, a rare 475-pound endangered leatherback sea turtle found stranded on a South Carolina beach was also released on the Isle of Palms.
