SEOUL: South Korean stocks closed lower Tuesday as concerns over Greece’s possible exit from the eurozone sapped risk appetite, analysts said. The local currency firmed against the U.S. dollar.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) shed 11.14 points, or 0.57 percent, to finish at 1,935.86. Trading volume was moderate at 319.23 million shares worth 4.06 trillion won (US$3.72 billion), with losers outpacing gainers 454 to 351.
