SEOUL: South Korean stocks opened a tad lower Wednesday as investors took a cautious stance amid slowing exports and the spread of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) here, analysts said.
Swinging in and out of negative territory, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) lost 5.43 points, or 0.26 percent, to 2,073.21 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
