SEOUL: The South Korean won rose by up to 1 percent on Tuesday against the dollar, in the wake of China’s latest move to stabilise the yuan by tightening rules on trading of currency forwards.
The won was up 0.9 percent at 1,171.4 as of 0447 GMT, after strengthening as far as 1,170.2.
