SEOUL: The South Korean won traded at an over one-month low against the U.S. dollar Thursday, extending its loss for a second consecutive session as it closely tracked weakness in the Japanese yen.
The local currency was quoted at 1,109.00 per dollar as of 1:26 p.m., down 11.3 won or 1.03 percent from the previous session’s close. The reading marks the lowest since Jan. 5 when the comparable figure was 1,109.90 won.
