SEOUL: South Korea’s economy grew 1.3 percent in the July-September period, the fastest quarter-on-quarter pace since the second quarter of 2010, driven by a strong rebound in consumer spending, the Bank of Korea said yesterday.

The South Korean central bank has predicted Asia’s fourth-largest economy would grow 2.7 percent this year.
