SEOUL: South Korean shares ended higher on Thursday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 5. 29 points, or 0.26 percent, to 2,056.61 at the close. Trading volume stood at 451.27 million shares worth 7.5 trillion won (6.8 billion U.S. dollars).
The South Korean currency finished at 1,108.8 won against the greenback, down 0.6 won from Wednesday’s close.
