MADRID: The Spanish consumer price index dropped 0.7 percent annually, following a 1.1 percent fall in February.Spanish consumer prices declined at the slowest pace in four months during March, flash estimates from the statistical office INE showed Monday.
It was the smallest decline since November, when prices decreased 0.4 percent. The harmonized index of consumer prices, or HICP, fell 0.7 percent annually in March, after a 1.2 percent drop in February. That was also the weakest pace since November, when the index declined 0.5 percent.Month-on-months, the CPI rose 0.6 percent and the HICP climbed 2 percent in March.
