Special customs judge hears 17 cases on his last day in court before transfer

LAHORE: The Customs Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of 16 cases related to customs matters. Even a special judge of the court has notified his own transfer from Lahore to Attock.

On Wednesday during the hearing of most of the cases, the counsels for the accused requested the court to postpone the hearing of their respective cases for preparation of arguments on which the court adjourned the hearings for different dates.
According to the cause-list, three out of 16 cases were fixed for formal hearing of accused named Shehzad, Abdullah, Tariq Fatmi and others.

The pre-arrest bail pleas were also scheduled for Friday which the court also adjourned for next hearing. The court also adjourned cases of narcotics, tax evasion, smuggling and customs matters. Cases from Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan were also scheduled for hearing on Friday.
