Springfield to convert 2 more OBOs to VLCCs in Oman

ATHENS: Onassis-controlled Springfield Shipping is to convert two oil-bulk-ore (OBO) carriers to VLCCs at Oman Drydock Company (ODC), Oman.

The Selma B (319,869 dwt, built 2010) will be converted and renamed as the Olympic Lion; similarly, the Camilla T (319,900 dwt, built 2009) will be converted and become the Olympic Lion. Work is set to begin in June. ODC delivered the OBO-to-VLCC conversion Olympic Luck (319,900 dwt, built 2010) to Springfield in January this year.
