SRB extends date for sales tax return, payment

KARACHI: Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) extended date for filing monthly return and sales tax payment.

The SRB issued Circular No. 02/2023 for extension in the last date for e-deposit of Sindh sales tax for the tax period February 2023 and for e-filing of tax return for the same tax period.

According to the circular, the provincial tax authority had permitted the registered persons, including withholding agents covered by the provisions of the Sundh Sales Tax Special Procedure (Withholding) Rules, 2014 to:

– e-deposit the amounts of Sindh sales tax for the tax period February 2023 on or before Tuesday March 21, 2023 in Sindh government’s head of account in prescribed manner; and

– e-file their tax returns for the tax period February 2023 on or before Friday March 24, 2023 the prescribed manner.
