KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has reported a strong 25% increase in revenue collection for December 2025, marking a key milestone in its journey toward achieving the revenue targets for fiscal year 2025–26.

According to an official press release, the SRB collected Rs34.006 billion during December 2025, compared to Rs27.149 billion in the same month last year. This significant jump reflects sustained improvement in tax administration and compliance across the province.

With this performance, SRB’s total revenue collection for the first half of FY2025–26 (July–December) has reached Rs161.431 billion, up from Rs133.256 billion collected during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. This represents a 21% growth on a half-year basis.

The SRB attributed the improved performance to the hard work and commitment of its workforce, along with continued support from the Government of Sindh and growing cooperation from taxpayers.

Looking ahead, the SRB stated that it remains focused on maintaining this upward trend through key initiatives, including the collection of Agricultural Income Tax, implementation of the Negative List Tariff regime, ongoing reforms, improved tax administration, effective enforcement, and enhanced use of technology to promote transparency and facilitate taxpayers.

The latest figures signal positive momentum for Sindh’s revenue collection efforts amid broader fiscal challenges.
