SRB receives Rs 39.242b in first eight months

KARACHI: Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has generated revenue of Rs 39.242 billion in first eight months of the ongoing fiscal year.

While talking to Customs Today, Tax Advisor Muhammad Mushtaq said that SRB is trying to detect new service departments to increase revenue collection. Therefore, SRB is going to adopt new strategies to collect 14 percent of sales tax from Fair & Exhibition and public relation services.

He said that SRB is initiating a crackdown operation against the agents who are selling Pakistani stalls in dollar, dirham and euro currency in international exhibitions. He said that following the direction of Chairman SRB, we are taking measures in order to meet the revenue target which is Rs 100 billion.
