SRB revokes suspension of ST registration of Wateen Telecom

KARACHI: Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has revoked the suspension of sales tax registration of M/s Wateen Telecom on payment of outstanding amount.

The registration of the telecom company was suspended on May 16, 2018 for failing deposit the sales tax on services and also failed to file monthly sales tax returns pertaining to the tax period April 2018.

The provincial revenue authority directed the company to comply with the provisions of Sindh Sales Tax on Services Act 2011 and Rules made before May 31, 2018 and failing to which the case would be proceeded for cancellation of registration.

As per SRB notification, the company submitted a scanned copy of payorder amounting Rs26.23 million through email on May 18, 208 wherein it informed that the principal amount amounting of Rs26.21 million and default surcharge of Rs14,360.
