Sri Lanka Customs arrested woman in gold smuggling worth 3m

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Customs officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake have arrested a Sri Lankan woman, who was attempting to smuggle in gold worth Rs 3 million.

The suspect, a resident of Colombo, was arrested when she arrived from Dubai, UAE with the gold stock concealed in her jacket. Customs officials have confiscated Gold Jewelry weighing 500 grams, according to local media reports.
