COLOMBO: Sri Lanka Customs officials have arrested an individual at the Katunayake Airport this morning while attempting to smuggle out foreign currency worth Rs. 2.5 million to Thailand. The 42-year-old suspect is a resident of Grandpass, Colombo. The suspect had currencies of US dollar, and Swiss Francs in his possession. He has attempted to conceal the stock of cash in his luggage. Customs officials at the airport are conducting further investigations into the incident while the currency has been confiscated.
