COLOMBO: A stock of illegally imported cigarettes worth Rs. 130 million was seized by customs officials on Monday.
The stock of 4.4 million cigarettes was discovered when customs officials opened a suspicious container. Customs Media Spokesperson and Legal Director Leslie Gamini noted that the stock of cigarettes had been imported on the 19th of this month disguised as a container of detergent powder.
