Sri Lanka Keells Food Products sees profit swells to Rs.261mn in FY15

COLOMBO: Keells Food Products PLC, the processed meat industry leader in the country, saw its profit surging exponentially for FY15 amid higher top line growth.

The company reported a net profit of Rs.261 million for the full year under review against net profit of Rs.467, 000 a year ago. The earnings improved to Rs.10.25 per share from 2 cents. The revenue for the year rose 15 percent yoy to Rs2.61 billion with cost of sales increasing at a lesser pace of 5 percent yoy to Rs.1.87 billion. The gross profit stood at Rs.743 million, up 48 percent.
