Sri Lanka ND seizes 100kg illicit heroin, clutches three culprits

COLOMBO: Narcotics Division of Sri Lanka’s Customs Department has seized a large heroin haul of over 100 kilograms at the Orugodwatta container yard here the other day, the Customs said.

The heroin hauls was hidden inside industrial grinding machines imported from Karachi, Pakistan.

Customs officials have arrested a suspect and the two Clearance officers responsible for clearing the shipment and seized the machinery, Customs sources said.
