Sri Lanka to ink $200m train deal with India

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka will buy diesel engines and compartments for the Railway from India at a cost of more than US$ 200 million (Rs. 2.5 billion), Transport Minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara said.

The deal would be under the Indian credit line offered during the recent visit of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said.
