KUWAIT CITY: Two Sri Lankan expatriates were arrested in Khaitan area in possession of one and a half kilograms of hashish and one kilogram of crystal meth worth a total of KD 100,000. According to security sources, when officers from Drugs Control General Department received information about the involvement of two Sri Lankan expatriates in drug peddling, they arrested the latter in a trap and found one and a half kilograms of hashish and one kilogram of crystal meth as well as a special weighing scale used for drugs in their possession. When questioned, the suspects confessed that they smuggled the drugs via a checkpoint at Kuwait International Airport. They were referred with the confiscated drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
