COLOMBO: Two employees of an airline company were detained at the Bandaranaike International Airport this morning with a stock of gold biscuits.
Customs Media Spokesman Leslie Gamini said the two suspects were detained by the security staff of SriLankan Airlines who handed them over to the Customs officials for investigations.
The suspects had 75 gold biscuits weighing 7.5 Kgs in their possession. The seized gold biscuits are valued at Rs. 37.50 million.
The biscuits had been brought to Sri Lanka from Singapore.
