LONDON: BioWare has given away free multiplayer gifts in Dragon Age: Inquisition BioWare is currently busy creating the first DLC pack for Dragon Age: Inquisition. Unfortunately, as the Inquisitr recently reported, the game’s executive producer revealed that that the developer must follow some “odd rules” and therefore aren’t allowed to discuss their plans for the DLC just yet. However, Dragon Age: Inquisition creative director Mike Laidlaw has reassured fans that they will likely be releasing details on the DLC soon.

The Fortune’s Blessing MP Gift Chest will be instantly delivered to players as soon as they boot up the multiplayer mode of Dragon Age: Inquisition. Gamers won’t even have to complete an online match in order to get the holiday bonus items.

The new gift chest itself will contain free items to use within Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s multiplayer that is comparable to a large commendation chest full of random equipment. Like with any other multiplayer chest, Dragon Age: Inquisition users have a chance to receive new weapons, potions, and armor upgrades from today’s free holiday gift giveaway.

In addition to giving out free items to fans of the series’ new multiplayer mode, BioWare is also still collecting awards for their work on Dragon Age: Inquisition. GameSpot reports that the latest installment of the popular fantasy franchise was named Game of the Year at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, this past weekend during the second annual SXSW Gaming Awards.

It seems that Dragon Age: Inquisition and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor have been going neck and neck at various 2014 gaming award ceremonies, and this year’s SXSW Gaming Awards were no different. While Dragon Age: Inquisition claimed the top prize for Game of the Year, Monolith’s Shadow of Mordor managed to win three separate categories including Excellence in Gameplay, Excellence in Animation, and Excellence in Design and Direction.

Many other titles besides Dragon Age: Inquisition and Shadow of Mordor were also honored during the recent award ceremony in Austin. Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft was named Mobile Game of the Year, while games like Destiny and Far Cry 4 took home wins for Excellence in Technical Achievement and Excellence in Visual Achievement, respectively.
