KARACHI: A stable and prosperous Pakistan is need of the United States and economic growth of Pakistan will cast positive impact on entire Central Asia.
This was stated by Council General of US, Brian Heath while addressing a luncheon reception, organised by Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI).
Patron-in-Chief KATI, S M Muneer, President KATI, Rashid Ahmed Siddiqui, Senator, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Chairman Diplomat Standing Committee Masood Naqi, Senior Vice President Tariq Malik and Gulzar Firoz, Khalid Tawab, Farukh Mazhar, Abdul Sami Khan, Farhan-ur-Rehman, Naveed Bukhari, Mehtabuddin Chawla, Zubair Chhaya, Tariq Baghpati, Johar Qandhari and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, US Council General Brian Heath said that the security issues in Pakistan were much better now as compared with the past and it is a good sign for the foreign investors.
He further said that America was a big market for Pakistani products and exports to America has been increased by increased 4.4 percent in the current year as compare to past year.
“Moreover the “Investment Summit” being held in Dubai would also provide opportunities for Pakistan and American businessmen to sit together for increasing the trade volume”, he added.
On the occasion, Patron-in-Chief KATI S M Muneer said that the cordial relation between Pakistan and America was increasing by the passage of time and the balance of trade is in favor of Pakistan.
“Pakistan is playing a front line role for fighting against the terrorism for the last many years and the performance of Pakistan Army in Zarb-e-Azab is commendable at all extent”, he added.
