State Bank of Pakistan releases data on Roshan Digital Accounts

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has released updated figures on Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA), reporting $216 million deposited in January 2026.

Since the initiative’s launch in September 2020, a total of 901,764 accounts have been opened by overseas Pakistanis. Over 65 months, these accounts have accumulated $11.92 billion in deposits.

Of the total, $7.65 billion has already been utilised within Pakistan, while an additional $1.96 billion has been withdrawn by account holders.

The central bank stated that as of January 2026, mandatory deposits in RDA accounts stand at $2.3 billion, highlighting the continued engagement of expatriate Pakistanis in supporting the national economy through digital banking channels.
