GREENVILLE: Although both Washington County and Greenville’s unemployment rate increased for the month of May, the state’s unemployment rate was the lowest it has been since March 2004.
Mississippi’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell again in May to 5.8 percent. The May rate is the lowest level of unemployment in Mississippi since March 2004, when the unemployment rate was also 5.8 percent, according to the most recent information released from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
