KARACHI: The Steel Mills Association has demanded the government refund their outstanding dues amounting to millions of rupees.
Vice chairman of association told Customs Today that Federal Board of Revenue is liable to pay them refunds of sales tax and withholding tax. He said that bullet and iron rods and being imported from China on very less rates and this is the main reason for collapse of steel industry in Pakistan. He said that they already write a letter to FBR asking them to refund their outstanding dues.
He said after receiving our refunds claim we will be in a position to strengthen our financial condition.
