KIEV: As last year, grain handling industry of Ukraine still attracts investors. Grain market participants are strongly interested in developing grain handling facilities in large ports and building their own logistic chains. From this viewpoint, Ukrainian grain handling segment is considered to be the most investment attractive and promising for investing.
Three new grain-handling terminals were put into operation in Ukrainian sea ports last season, which resulted in expansion of calculated grain-handling capacities for exports in ports to more than 50 MMT.
Presently investors have announced 9 projects for construction of specialized grain-handling terminals in Ukrainian sea ports. If they implement these projects, before 2020 Ukrainian sea ports will be able to handle more than 70 MMT of grain for exports.
