During his inaugural address, the chief guest said that private sector can play an increasingly more significant role in our pursuit of promotion of defence exports. The armed forces will encourage and support the private sector to come forward; and together with the public sector defence industries enhance production and exports.

While addressing, Ms. Zobaida Jalal, Federal Minister for Defence Production emphasized that by optimizing our defence production and export, Pakistan can capture a larger share of the international defence market. In order to achieve this objective, it is vital to integrate public private defence industry to achieve optional results.

New ideas, entrepreneurship, and management skills mastered by the private sector need to be co-opted with the existing public sector defence industry for adding more efficiency as well as volume to our defence production and exports; significantly contributing towards our economy.

Earlier Maj Gen Farhat Abbas Sani, HI (M), DG DEPO and Mr. Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, President LCC&I during their welcome addresses thanked Ministry of Defence Production, Joint Staff Headquarters, Armed Forces of Pakistan, Public-private suppliers & vendors and LCC&I, for their vivid support in successful conduct of SAVDEX.
